Call for papers: The State of Environmental Migration 2021
The State of Environmental Migration aims to provide its readership with the most updated assessments on recent events and evolving dynamics of environmental migration throughout the world. SEM thus represents another stepping-stone towards understanding how the adverse effects of climate change and disasters alter migration patterns. Each year, the editors select the best graduate student work from the course “Environment and Migration”, taught by Caroline Zickgraf at the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) of Sciences Po. As we celebrate the 11th volume of the SEM, we are extending participation to this edition to Master and early-stage PhD students currently enrolled in a tertiary institution.
Submission instructions:
- Papers should analyze displacements/migration flows induced by disaster events or other environmental occurrences throughout the year 2020, exploring key concepts in the existing literature and using primary data sources (e.g. interviews).
- Papers should be comprised between 4,000-7,000 words, references excluded (single-spaced, Times New Roman 12).
